You'd be forgiven for thinking that there is a considerable amount of hairybrains behind this advanture. After all, he has been there, done that and got the t-shirts. But for once, while he's an integral part of the adventure, the root cause or protagonist of this particular trip started with One Lauder. The original post which kicked this all off went up a year ago and reads thus:
Chatting with Hairy McNairy today in between mowing lawns and we have decided that the running club should do this.
We therefore need volunteers to do

2. Snowdonia Marathon - Sun
3. Dublin Marathon - Mon

So, one year on (and one or two minor course adjustments) our intrepid band of nutters have a weird bus and are on their way on the 23rd.
