There are changing/shower and toilet facilities, although these will be very busy on race day.

Refreshments are available from the outdoor Bar-b-que and indoor café. There are lakeside picnic areas, plus windsurfing, dinghy sailing, crazy golf and fishing available.
The water park also caters for tents/caravans – booking is essential.

COURSE:

Same course as 2009 – the changes were well received last year from runners. The course is run in a predominately anti-clockwise direction. Please follow the instructions of the marshals and adhere to the highway rules. You should always keep to the left hand side of the road unless otherwise instructed.

It is 13.1 miles of a one lap scenic, undulating course on the quiet country lanes around historic Market Bosworth.

CHARITY:

Once again we will be supporting LOROS – the Leicestershire and Rutland Organisation for the Relief of Suffering – a local hospice providing care and support within Leicestershire and Rutland.

LOROS charges no fees for its services which are available to all local people regardless of race or creed. They rely on the generosity and support of individuals, organisations, groups as well as Trusts and the business community.

The Hospice is a specialist centre providing skilled nursing and medical care, supported by physiotherapists and social workers, in an environment that recognises the particular needs of patients and their families. It provides expertise in controlling pain and other distressing symptoms aw well as offering emotional, spiritual and social care, which allows patients to live as normal a life as possible. Working with the whole family enables both the patient and the family to cope with the changing situation so that they are able to make best use of the limited time together available to them. LOROS treats patients from the age of eighteen years and upwards.

All runners returning a Sponsorship form will receive a certificate.

Please enter early to avoid disappointment as we are always fully subscribed. However, if entry limit not reached there will be entries taken on the day - £20 Club Runners, £22 non Club Runners

ON-LINE ENTRIES

ENTRY LIMIT: 1300

ENTRY LIST: Will be updated regularly on this website.

CHIP TIMING: Again, we will be using CHAMPIONCHIP timing.

                      All prizes will be given on a gun to chip time, results will show both gun to chip and chip to chip timings.

START: Will now be just inside the Water Park near the pirate ship in the childrens' area close to the finishing field.

TIMED GATES: We will put up anticipated Finish Time gates.
                       Please be courteous to your fellow competitors and stand behind your expected finish time gate.
                      With a different course, congestion should be reduced providing you are all respectful of this procedure.

WATER: Will be provided at 2.5, 5, 8, 9.5, 11.5 miles and at the finish.

FINISH: Will be returning through the wooden gates on the lane and into the field.

WEATHER: Over the last 9 years we have had drizzle, rain, torrential rain, sleet, hail, wind, gales, mild, warm and extremely hot sunshine –                 so come prepared with a variety of clothing!!!
